The time to celebrate has arrived. This weekend we have our annual festival with good food, dances, a raffle, singing and fellowship. I am so glad that there is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”

In my mind, the most important thing for our parish is fellowship. It is by this kind of activities that we are able to create closeness as a community and learn about each other. There is no question that there is a greater closeness among us when we are able to eat with one another and to visit over a meal. This event also gives us the opportunity to connect with people of a different culture who may speak a different language than our own. That reflects the universality of the Church and demonstrates all of our place in the body of Christ.

This celebration is traditionally called a Kermes. I invite you to come and join us in celebration. Plan on coming to the Cashmere parking lot beginning at 1:30 p.m. Come and let us enjoy our time together as we grow in relationship with each other and God. The goal of this type of fellowship is to find a renewed sense of unity in all who call themselves members of the holy Catholic Church.

Let us take this opportunity to reunite our hearts in this celebration and become more alive as a Church of God.

El momento de celebrar ha llegado. Este fin de semana tenemos nuestro festival anual con buena comida, bailes, una rifa, canciones y companerismo. Me llena de felicidad saber que hay un momento para todo. Eclesiastes 3: 1-4 dice: "Todo tiene su tiempo, y todo lo que se existe bajo el cielo tiene su hora: Tiempo de nacer y tiempo de morir, tiempo de plantar y tiempo de arrancar, tiempo de matar y tiempo de curar, tiempo de destruir y tiempo de edificar, tiempo de llorar y tiempo de reír, tiempo de sufrir y tiempo de bailar.

En mi opinion, lo mas importante para nuestra parroquia es la comunion. Es por este tipo de actividades que somos capaces de crear cercanía como comunidad y aprender unos de otros. No hay duda de que hay una mayor cercanía entre nosotros cuando podemos comer juntos y platicar durante una comida. Este evento tambien nos brinda la oportunidad de conectarnos con personas de otra cultura, que pueden hablar otro idioma diferente al nuestro. Esto refleja la universalidad de la Iglesia y demuestra que todos tenemos un lugar en el cuerpo de Cristo.

Esta celebracion se llama tradicionalmente “Kermes”. Los invito a venir y unirse a nosotros en esta celebracion. Planee acompanarnos en el estacionamiento de Cashmere a partir de la 1:30 p.m. Venga y disfrutemos de nuestro tiempo juntos a medida que crecemos en la relacion entre nosotros y con Dios. El objetivo de este tipo de companerismo es encontrar un renovado sentido de unidad en todos los que se llaman miembros de la santa Iglesia Catolica.

Aprovechemos esta oportunidad para reunir nuestros corazones en esta celebracion y estar mas fervorosos como Iglesia de Dios.
