From your Pastor…

I am pleased to announce the beginning of a process in the parish which will lead to a formal Pastoral Plan.  A Pastoral Plan sets out a series of pastoral and administrative goals which guide the efforts of our parishioners to build up and strengthen our parish.  The strength of our Pastoral Plan will depend on your participation.  I am hoping that many of you take the opportunity to offer insights and advice, hopes and dreams.

Our planning document has seven sections: EVANGELIZATION, FAITH FORMATION, PASTORAL MINISTRY, PRAYER & WORSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, STEWARDSHIP and BUILDING.  Beginning in October, we will seek feedback two sections at a time each month until we finish. The Communication Committee and others are working hard to provide a variety of ways you can participate through surveys and forms which can be returned and then collated.

The value of such a planning process is that it is inclusive of as many of our parishioners as possible.  It is a recognition of the call to holiness that we all have through our baptism and that we are all called to help build up the Church. We are stronger together.

As we prepare to engage in this planning process, let us open our hearts and minds to the power of the Holy Spirit working in our midst.  May our Pastoral Plan be in accord with God’s holy will.

De parte de su Pastor…

Me complace anunciar el inicio de un proceso en la parroquia que conducirá a un Plan Pastoral Parroquial. Un Plan Pastoral establece una serie de metas pastorales y administrativas que guían los esfuerzos de nuestros feligreses para construir y fortalecer nuestra parroquia. La fortaleza de nuestro Plan Pastoral dependerá de su participación. Espero que muchos de ustedes aprovechen la oportunidad para ofrecer ideas y consejos, esperanzas y sueños.

Nuestro documento de planificación tiene siete secciones: EVANGELIZACIÓN, FORMACIÓN EN LA FE, MINISTERIO PASTORAL, ORACIÓN Y ADORACIÓN, FRATERNIDAD, ADMINISTRACION Y CONSTRUCCION. A partir de octubre, buscaremos comentarios dos secciones a la vez cada mes hasta que terminemos. El Comité de Comunicación y otros están trabajando arduamente para brindar una variedad de formas en las que usted puede participar a través de encuestas y formularios que pueden devolverse y luego cotejarse.

El valor de tal proceso de planificación es que incluye a la mayor cantidad posible de nuestros feligreses. Es un reconocimiento del llamado a la santidad que todos tenemos a través de nuestro bautismo y que todos estamos llamados a ayudar a construir la Iglesia. Somos más fuertes juntos.

Mientras nos preparamos para participar en este proceso de planificación, abramos nuestros corazones y mentes al poder del Espíritu Santo que obra entre nosotros. Que nuestro Plan Parroquial esté acorde con la santa voluntad de Dios.
