From your Pastor    

In our gospel acclamation for today we hear, “today a great light has come upon the earth.” Today the light has shone on us all. He came to give us clarity, understanding as well as mercy and compassion.  He doesn’t need us but has come for us because we need him – we need his love. He came to show us the great love he has for us. He shows himself interested in saving us from our distorted pathways. He showed us the way that we should walk if we want to be part of his kingdom.  We have journeyed through the Advent season taking the opportunity to grow in holiness so that today the Lord may find us ready.

Today we can sing “joy to the world” with all of humankind.  The Lord has been born and now he lives among us. Our church reflects the beauty of this celebration thanks to the help of many. Today we rejoice at the coming of Jesus to us. We have prepared ourselves during these 4 weeks of advent and even on the third week, we rejoiced because of the coming of the Messiah. Today we rejoice and because we have come to Mass, we have come to the sacrament of confession, we have done our giving to the church and expressed the generosity of our hearts.   

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been close to the church and to Jesus, to those who have sacrificed themselves so that our Lord sees our dedication and willingness to be detached from this world so that others may see our good works and give glory to the Lord.

Merry Christmas to all.  May the Lord who has arrived bring happiness, joy and peace this holy season.

De parte de su Pastor…

En nuestra aclamación al evangelio de hoy, escuchamos: “hoy una gran luz ha descendido sobre la tierra”. Hoy la luz ha brillado sobre todos nosotros. Vino a darnos claridad, comprensión, así como misericordia y compasión. Él no nos necesita, pero ha venido por nosotros porque lo necesitamos, necesitamos su amor. Vino a mostrarnos el gran amor que nos tiene. Se muestra interesado en salvarnos de nuestros caminos torcidos. Él nos mostró el camino que debemos andar si queremos ser parte de su reino. Hemos transitado el tiempo de Adviento aprovechando la oportunidad de crecer en santidad para que hoy el Señor nos encuentre preparados.

Hoy podemos cantar “la alegría del mundo” con toda la humanidad. El Señor ha nacido y ahora vive entre nosotros. Nuestra Iglesia refleja la belleza de esta celebración gracias a la ayuda de muchos. Hoy nos regocijamos por la venida de Jesús. Nos hemos preparado durante estas 4 semanas de adviento e incluso en la tercera semana nos regocijamos por la venida del Mesías. Hoy nos regocijamos y porque hemos venido a Misa, hemos venido al sacramento de la confesión, hemos hecho nuestra ofrenda a la Iglesia y expresado la generosidad de nuestro corazón.

Quiero aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecer a todos los que han estado cerca de la Iglesia y de Jesús, a los que se han sacrificado para que el Señor vea nuestra entrega y voluntad de desapego de este mundo para que los demás vean nuestras buenas obras y den gloria al Señor.

Feliz Navidad a todos. Que el Señor que ha llegado traiga felicidad, alegría y paz en esta temporada santa.
