The purpose of my article this week is to remind you of the celebration we have planned to be held this coming Sunday, February 2^nd at 2:00 p.m. We will gather as a community to celebrate the progress on the building of our new church.  

We will begin the afternoon with a very short but inspirational talk from Donna Zukowski and Elías Ramírez. They will share updates on the building and where we are currently in the construction process. They will also touch briefly on the progress of the 2^nd Capital Campaign. They will remind us how far we have come and the hope that awaits us for the completion of our building.  I trust you will be inspired by their testimony.   

Following the presentation, we will offer a bilingual rosary in thanksgiving for the work completed thus far and to continue to petition Our Lady for her intercession before Almighty God. We will keep in mind the “Memorare” prayer that we have been praying after communion at every Mass which we started as a tradition for Mary to be our companion on this journey. We will also ask for the intercession of St Maria Goretti, since our altar will contain her relic. Moreover, we will include in our rosary the patron of our former parish communities - Our Lady of the Snows and Saint Francis Xavier, finishing the 5^th decade of our mystery by invoking Our Lady of the Assumption. I believe this will be an important opportunity for fellowship and faith.

After the rosary, we will have an opportunity to visit with one another and share delicious appetizers and desserts.. If you can assist, please bring an appetizer if the first letter of your last name is A to M. If the first letter of your last name is N to Z, please bring a dessert.

Please, come and be part of this exciting moment as we witness the work of God in the midst of our community whose sacrifices are resulting in a beautiful new church.

 

 

 

 

 

El propósito de mi artículo de esta semana es recordarles la celebración que hemos planeado para el próximo domingo 2 de febrero a las 2:00 pm. Nos reuniremos como comunidad para celebrar el progreso de la construcción de nuestra nueva Iglesia.

Comenzaremos la tarde con una charla muy corta pero inspiradora de Donna Zukowski y Elías Ramírez. Ellos compartirán actualizaciones sobre el edificio y dónde nos encontramos actualmente en el proceso de construcción. También tocarán brevemente el progreso de la 2da Campaña de Capital. Nos recordarán lo lejos que hemos llegado y la esperanza que nos espera para la finalización de nuestro edificio. Confío en que se sientan inspirados por su testimonio.

Después de la presentación, ofreceremos un rosario bilingüe en agradecimiento por el trabajo completado hasta ahora y para continuar pidiendo a Nuestra Señora su intercesión ante Dios Todopoderoso. Tendremos en mente la oración “Memorare” que hemos estado rezando después de la comunión en cada Misa que comenzamos como una tradición para que María sea nuestra compañera en este viaje. También pediremos la intercesión de Santa María Goretti, ya que nuestro altar contendrá su reliquia. Además, incluiremos en nuestro rosario a los patrones de nuestras antiguas comunidades parroquiales: Nuestra Señora de las Nieves y San Francisco Javier, terminando la quinta década de nuestro misterio invocando a Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Creo que esta será una oportunidad importante para la comunión y la fe.

Después del rosario, tendremos la oportunidad de conversar unos con otros y compartir deliciosos aperitivos y postres. Si puede ayudar, traiga un aperitivo si la primera letra de su apellido es de la A a la M. Si la primera letra de su apellido es de la N a la Z, traiga un postre.
