February 26th and 27th
Our Knights of Columbus are holding a membership drive and are kicking it off with a pancake dinner- The dinner is this Tuesday and it will start at 5:00 pm
- Donations will be accepted for the cost of the meal
- Let’s start Lent together by celebrating this Fat Tuesday activity!
On the topic of Lent - it starts this week on Ash Wednesday- There will be three Masses that day:
- In English at 9:00 am
- A bilingual Mass at 5:00 pm
- And a Spanish Mass at 7:00 pm
Throughout Lent, the emphasis is to grow spiritually closer to our Lord- If you are seeking to do a bit extra to observe this holy time, consider:
- Attending Mass during the week
- Reading devotionals from the Little Black Book - available at the entrance to the church
- Coming to Adoration on a Thursday between 12:00 to 5:30 pm
- Saying the rosary
- Listening to the bible in a year podcast which you can access via the OLA website
- We also will be holding some organized worship services
- Starting with bilingual Stations of the Cross each Friday at 6:00 pm
Pope Francis has initiated a campaign called a Synod for all Catholics to energize their parishes- At the root of it, from the ground up, is listening - what is working in our church and what could use improvements?
- We are currently organizing leaders to start gaining information
- Once gathered, we will report our findings to the Diocese who will pass them along to the Vatican
- We will communicate how you can contribute information in the weeks ahead as we formalize our process
- Please start giving some thought to the pivotal questions:
- What is working in our church?
- What could use improvement?

Nuestros Caballeros de Colón realizarán una campaña de membresía y comenzarán con una cena de panqueques
● Es este martes y comenzará a las 5:00 p.m.
● Se aceptarán donaciones por el costo de la comida
● ¡Comencemos la Cuaresma juntos celebrando este evento de Martes gordo!
La Cuaresma comienza esta semana con el Miércoles de Ceniza- Habrá tres Misas ese día:
- En inglés a las 9:00 am
- Una Misa bilingüe a las 5:00 pm
- Y una Misa en español a las 7:00 pm
Durante la Cuaresma, el énfasis es crecer espiritualmente más cerca de nuestro Señor- Si está buscando hacer un poco más para observar este tiempo santo, considere:
- Asistir a Misa durante la semana
- Leer devocionales como el Little Black Book, disponible en la entrada de la Iglesia
- Venir a Adoración los jueves entre las 12:00 y las 5:30 pm
- Rezar el rosario
- Escuchar el podcast de “la biblia en un año” que se puede encontrar en nuestro sitio web
- También realizaremos algunos servicios de adoración
- Comenzando con las Estaciones de la Cruz bilingües todos los viernes a las 6:00 p. m.
El Papa Francisco ha iniciado una campaña llamada Sínodo para que todos los católicos refuercen sus parroquias- La raíz de esto es escuchar: ¿qué está funcionando en nuestra Iglesia y qué podría mejorar?
- Actualmente estamos organizando líderes para comenzar a obtener información.
- Una vez recopilados, informaremos nuestros hallazgos a la Diócesis, que los transmitirá al Vaticano
