Here’s an update from the design team after the meeting on Wednesday with the architects

They informed us of the struggles they are having in terms of available contractors and fluctuating material costs

Covid has definitely impacted their business - so many unknowns

We spoke about various designs that may lower our overall cost - remain with our current layout or consider a change that includes a basement

They informed us that having a basement for the parish center would not really reduce costs considerably

We emphasized that three structures are critical for us to build out of the gate - the church, the office and the parish center

We informed them of the amount of money we currently have to start building

The thought is for them to go back and provide us with a layout of exactly what our bank account can afford

This may mean a scaled back beginning structure that will be embellished in the years to come

They told us that they may have new information for us in about two weeks
