During this Easter season, we have been celebrating not only the resurrection of Jesus Christ but also great liturgies associated with Easter such as First Holy Communions and Confirmations. When people come into full communion with the Church it brings a significant amount of happiness to our parish. It reflects the power of the Holy Spirit present among us making us more lively, active and hopeful.

Our children were filled with excitement as they prepared to receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord at Mass for the very first time. The children were all excited and happy. This is an innocent happiness in our children that is precious.

Another great feast that we celebrated during this joyful season is the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our young adults were able to commit and confirm that they wanted to continue being Catholics. All these celebrations remind us that in heaven we will rejoice eternally.

At the Easter Vigil we sang the Gloria for the first time after a long Lent. Bells were rung as we were singing and the words expressed the great joy of this season. This is a joy that is reflected in the celebration of the resurrection as well as the sacraments of the Eucharist and Confirmation. May this joy continue to be reflected in our lives – driving out darkness and filling us with joy.

Durante este tiempo de Pascua, hemos estado celebrando no solo la resurreccion de Jesucristo sino tambien las hermosas liturgias asociadas con la Pascua, como las Primeras Comuniones y las Confirmaciones.

Cuando las personas entran en plena comunion con la Iglesia, esto trae una gran cantidad de felicidad a nuestra parroquia. Refleja el poder del Espíritu Santo presente entre nosotros, haciendonos mas vivos, activos y esperanzados.

Nuestros ninos se llenaron de emocion mientras se preparaban para recibir el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Nuestro Señor en la misa por primera vez. Los ninos estaban todos emocionados y felices. Esta es una felicidad inocente en nuestros hijos que es preciosa.

Otra gran fiesta que celebramos durante esta alegre temporada es el Sacramento de la Confirmacion. Nuestros jovenes adultos pudieron comprometerse y confirmar que querían seguir siendo catolicos. Todas estas celebraciones nos recuerdan que en el cielo nos regocijaremos eternamente.

En la Vigilia Pascual cantamos la Gloria por primera vez despues de una larga Cuaresma. Las campanas sonaron cuando cantabamos y las palabras expresaron la gran alegría de esta temporada. Esta es una alegría que se refleja en la celebracion de la resurreccion, así como en los sacramentos de la Eucaristía y la Confirmacion. Que esta alegría siga reflejandose en nuestras vidas, expulsando la oscuridad y llenandonos de alegría.
