With great joy we have finally arrived at the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. His resurrection is proof that Jesus has fulfilled all his promises. This tremendous mystery raises some important questions for us as believers. For example, we can ask ourselves, yes, he has risen but now what? What is there for us? What is he trying to tell us? How can I celebrate his resurrection? How do I go about incorporating this teaching into my daily life? How does his resurrection change me?

One of the first things that we should do is to thank him for showing us the way to heaven. Yes, the way of the Cross is hard but it is the only way to go to him. The resurrection teaches us that no matter what evil touches our lives, God will always win. We can be faced with suffering, illness, personal betrayal, conflict and even death and yet. God always wins. On His own time and in His own way, God always crushes the power of evil in our lives. He takes our crosses and trans- forms them into something good and holy. That is a very important life lesson.

The readings this Second Sunday of Easter remind us of the need for change in our lives. The resurrection challenges us to be different. We see this in the first communities of Christians who were called to be one in mind and heart. They did not hold possessions for themselves alone but instead shared them with others according to need. Selfishness and greed are changed into goodness and generosity.

Scripture tells us that “...for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith.” Let us continue following the Lord with great faith and trust, since in this way we will conquer our selfish- ness, our arrogance, our greed, our sinful lives and be victorious on the last day. Con gran alegría finalmente hemos llegado a la celebración de la Resurrección de Jesucristo. Su resurrección es prueba de que Jesús ha cumplido todas sus promesas. Este tremendo misterio plantea algunas preguntas importantes para nosotros como creyentes. Por ejemplo, podemos pre- guntarnos, sí, El ha resucitado, pero ¿ahora que? ¿Que hay para nosotros? ¿Que esta tratando de decirnos? ¿Cómo puedo celebrar su resurreccion? ¿Cómo hago para incorporar esta enseñanza en mi vida diaria? ¿Como me cambia su resurrección?

Una de las primeras cosas que debemos hacer es agradecerle por mostrarnos el camino al cielo. Sí, el camino de la Cruz es difícil, pero es la única forma de ir a el. La resurrección nos enseña que no importa qué mal toque nuestras vidas, Dios siempre ganará. Podemos enfrentar el sufrimiento, la enfermedad, la traicion personal, el conflicto e incluso la muerte y, sin embargo. Dios siempre gana. En su propio tiempo y a su manera, Dios siempre aplasta el poder del mal en nuestras vidas. El toma nuestras cruces y las transforma en algo bueno y santo. Esa es una lección de vida muy importante.

Las lecturas de este segundo domingo de Pascua nos recuerdan la necesidad de un cambio en nuestras vidas. La resurrección nos desafía a ser diferentes. Vómos esto en las primeras comunidades de cristianos que fueron llamados a ser uno en mente y corazon. No tenían posesiones para ellos solos, sino que los compartían con otros segun las necesidades. El egoísmo y la codicia se transforman en bondad y generosidad.

La Escritura nos dice que "... porque el que es creado por Dios conquista el mundo. Y la victoria que conquista el mundo es nuestra fe ". Continuemos siguiendo al Señor con gran fe y confianza, ya que de esta manera conquistaremos nuestro egoísmo, nuestra arrogancia, nuestra codicia, nuestras vidas pecaminosas y saldremos victoriosos en el último día.. ¡Felices Pascuas!
